Computational Thinking & Scratch

First Lady Interview:

http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/18985950/

It was the first time I used scratch and it was interesting to use. I can find it useful to teachers to have fun video for students to watch and learn at the same time. I found it frustrating because it takes a lot of time to do and learn the program. I had trouble with it and I had to play around with it in order for me to get the hang of it. Even though I can say the program is not for me I can see all the useful purposes it has. Students can find it interesting and fun to watch then a boring documentary of history. I would like to learn how to use the program better and get to know it better. I can change my mine into using it for my classroom. For me I can say it teaches me patience, but not only that to find new ways to teach material to my students.
Students can use this program to find their creativity and see what they come up with. They can explore and have fun with it because each student will express different ideas. We can use it in a history, science, math, or English class. The students can find someone important to interview or simply do a book project presentation on it. It uses technology to be able to express the ideas of the students and see where there imagination takes them. They will be able to create dialogue and we can teach the different form of dialogue and which ones can be more appropriate.
Just books do not help student, but giving them something new to try out can be very beneficial to them because our students will get to explore new ideas. Having fun and learning can grab the attention of our students and they will want to learn.
