How to evaluate a valid website or information?
The first thing I would look at is the copyright date the most recent the better. Analyzing the information give it is trustworthy or not like sites with .edu, .org, or .gov seem to more accurate on their information. Another things I would look are their citations and references of where the website got their information. One important aspect of checking valid information is be researching their authors, sponsors, or their authority because some sites can have bias thoughts. Being able to know what the site information is trying to point out and making sense for example the context, arguments, structure, and evidence. If a website has to many ads or commercials, this is a big no no that it is not a valid website. We don't need ads, but context of the information we are looking for. Many students think just because a site looks nice or pretty it is fine, but know it is not the design that we look for but the professionalism the website has.
